This is just a cover idea for another story I'm writing.
4 hours in gimp another 2 for the eyes.
A.R.I. Is a drone created for the military, and because of some glitched programing he has become self aware. For reasons even he is unsure of Ari sets out to find his programmer, an anonymous hacker going by the name MC.MXC.VIII. Only to find the hacker is a 15 year old kid who had no idea he was programing a weapon. The company who built Ari has now assumed that MC.MXC.VIII. had stolen their property and is now after both of them. Feeling that it's his fault that the kid is now in danger, Ari now must protect the hacker from his creators and keep himself from being used for his purpose.
The questions this story is suppose to pose is: What defines a human being? His flesh and bones? His personal values?
and what is a soul? and could something other than a living being have one?
This is the 10th drawing I made this year, largely inspired by the promotional trailer of Prototype and the Youtube series Dr0ne, hopefully I'll be able to upload the rest of the artwork of the year soon.

An android story with a machine becoming self-aware. Sounds nice to me and certainly, the design of Ari kinda seems fitting for this. Also his name is interesting, as it is more than just a Greek letter. Since there are several meaning in different languages to this name, I go with the Japanese "to be", as it is the most fitting to the question, if he has a soul as something artificial.
